synthi plays even though track deleted

I bought Synthi as part of the V collection 8
from the start I had issues with the pin matrix not clearing properly when pins were removed: oscillator 1 still going direct to output when that link was cleared
Now I have a logic file in which I selected new track and as synthi was used in an earlier software inst track it loaded by default and started playing the pink floyd sequence as soon as it loaded.
I deleted the track and the sequence still plays whenever I hit play.
I have now removed all tracks from the session and saved as a new file - It still plays!!! Even after shut down and restart!
I'm on a mac os 10.13.6, logic. 10.4.2

I'm on Wimdows.
But i think you have deleted the track/s, but you have'nt deleted/ removed the instrument/ channel from your project. It's still there and the channel is unmuted.
As the preset is sequence that's made in a way where it play, when you hit play in your DAW, then you can still hear it.
Track and channel is'nt the same. Multiple tracks can use the same channel.

What you have to do is to remove the instrument/ channel too or at least mute the channel.

that was indeed the issue. The channel didn't show up in the mixer, but it did in the environment - don't really understand why it gets left behind when no tracks are addressing it, but so it is! I suspect my pin matrix problems may have had a similar cause.
