Please Revert to the Previous Preset Browser.
« on: March 28, 2022, 03:43:41 am »
With all the filter options in the left-side panel it's much quicker to access. PLUS you can see all the filters you have active at one time.
Having to open each individual menu is slower and shows less info at once. Sure, you can look at the search bar to see active filters. But ONLY the active ones. Plus the layout with all the filter buttons on the left is more visually intuitive and easier to read.
Also, being able to add our own categories and tags and comments to presets. Having that as well as the saving controls immediately on screen rather than having to open a menu or two is simply better sense. More accessible and intuitive.
Sorry, but I think this new preset browser is a step backwards in user experience and quality of life. Ever since it came out.
It does seem to load presets faster. So I'll give it that much at least.

I miss the OLD "Home page" browser that had a graphic of all the available instruments in a sort of studio. That was super cool and even kinda immersive. Warm and welcoming. Ever since you dropped that it's just felt "colder."

You have the option to display the filters in list mode on the top right of the filter section, which allow the currently active filter section to be displayed at the same time as the result list.

Doing so takes up quite a bit of screen space in the presets list.
It is MUCH cleaner (and more useful) to have the filters in the left side panel like they used to be. As it is right now the left panel is virtually useless wasted space.
