Connecting the AudioFuse to an Analog channel strip
« on: March 11, 2023, 09:54:47 pm »
I've recently acquired an analog channel strip. I wanted to put my Mic through that first and then route the output of the channel strip into AudioFuse to capture it in my DAW. I have two options to output from my strip into AudioFuse: a XLR output or a TRS output.

Which one should I be using?? I'm currently using the XLR but that gets recognized by AudioFuse as a mic input. I'm not sure if that is the right way to go. Would love some advice here. Thank you.

It depends on your analog channel strip. I'd think it outputs a line level signal. In that case use TRS and select line input on the AudioFuse.

You can read more about the AudioFuse inputs manual chapter "3.3. Inputs and Outputs" - there's a diagram that shows how the path for the XLR and TRS inputs differs.
