Audio fuse pre 8 vs Tc-electronic Konnekt 48
« on: April 02, 2022, 02:44:13 pm »
So my trusty Konnekt 48 kind of died not booting up anymore.
Audiofuse 8 pre maybe is an option,
I already saw they did not offer a midi connectivity option, and my Konnect 48 had 12 in (4pre amps) and 12 outs, Main stereo out, 2 headphone jacks, opto in 2x-in 2x-out, Spdif, Wck in/out 2x firewire.
All my projects are pretty heavy, I tried a novation 2x4 hub that i had lying around for djing to replace this for the time being but i could not open any of my projects it tollay crashed...
I'm curious if this soundcard can handle it the Tc had DSP, There was also a feature where u could use a compressors and a reverb from their tc software on your channels, so if i would route a piano to my soundcard on that stereo channel i could use the build in compressor and reverb to make it sound a bit more like how I want and then record it like that into my daw.

Does the arturia software has a similar options?
Since they offer a couple of plugins with it?

Does any1 know if this soundcard is not worth it, what soundcard i could check with kind of similar features as the Konnekt 48...
I did not really care about the midi, cause i have couple of midi interfaces.
It's just I don't want to buy a soundcard and not be able to open my projects.
Can you add the fx suite to the channel inputs? If yeah i might consider this one.
