Keystep not Detected (Windows 10)
« on: April 02, 2020, 08:10:41 pm »
So i've had my keystep a few years. I've previously used it connected to a windows 8 machine and to hardware through midi with no issues

I've tried connecting it to my new Windows 10 laptop via USB cable. The device powers up but is not detected. I've a installed the midi control centre a couple of times to no avail.

Any suggestions?

I'm experiencing what appears to be the same problem, with a recently purchased Keystep (32), but running Mac OSX 10.12 (Sierra).

This is usually caused by people connecting it to their computer with a Micro USB charging cable which doesn't have a data-line. Common symptom is the device powers up but as far as the PC/Mac is concerned it doesn't exist.
