Problems with MIDI mapping
« on: December 29, 2021, 09:51:01 am »
Hi,

I'm trying to map one of the knobs of my Beatstep Pro to a midi parameter in Ableton. Although the mapping itself works fine, when I turn the knob, the value only oscillates between the lowest possible value and the highest one. For instance, when mapping a knob on the BSP to a track volume in Ableton and turning the knob on BeatStep Pro, I can only chose between -67 db and 6 db, but nothing in between.

I've done the same with a knob on a MIDI keyboard controller, and it works fine — it lets me chose all possible values between -67 db and 6 db. So the problem obviously doesn't lie in Ableton, but in the BSP.

I attach a picture of the settings in the Controller Map.

Thanks for your help!

Till Scholich

Hi, I have the same problem! Did you figure out a fix to this?
