Ability to modulate delay time by less than 1%
« on: November 24, 2021, 09:01:31 am »
I want to make gentle wobbles in the delay time of the BBD, The knob on the matrix wont let me enter smaller values than + or - 1% witch is too much
Alternatively having a static voltage source (like eg +5V on a modular) to route to things in the mod matrix would make it easier to use modulation of modulations to attenuate the 1% time modulation to around 0.5%

The actual Amount has more resolution than the value you see in the display. Between 0% and 1% there are more values - you need a very fine hand, adjusting the Amount with tiny and slow moves.

Also, if you want to control that even more precisely, and/or you want to have manual control over it, you can use the mod wheel (or other controller) to modulate the mod matrix cell that does the BBD delay (hold column 1-8 and press that cell to s3et up that mod destination). That'll give very fine control, and the mod wheel position is stored with the patch. Or if you want dynamic control in the patch, e.g. an envelope can be used for fine and varying control of that same cell.

Aha, thanks!

would be great to be able to switch between fine and normal behavior on the knob and to have some more decimal places when in fine mode. It seems like Arturia really wanted to avoid a shift button that would make sense for this kind of thing.
