Ability to Change Melodic Sequencer to Drum Sequencer
« on: June 23, 2021, 05:28:03 pm »
Hi all,

there is a sister post to this: https://forum.arturia.com/index.php?topic=91447.msg151965#msg151965

I would need exactly the opposite as I own a Keystep Pro and a Beatstep Pro (plus 7 volcas that I am controlling via both):
- Keystep Pro as melodic sequencer for 4 volcas
- Beatstep Pro as drum sequencer for 3 volcas

To better control my volcas (drum, beats, sample) via the Beatstep Pro, I would need sequencer 1 and sequencer 2 to operate as drum sequencers.

Anybody else here who would like this feature? :-)

Cheers
Phil

And obviously, 2 additional Maps / Drum Maps for the sequencers 1 and 2 would be needed as different instruments require different MIDI inputs...

If you own the first volca sample, then you can use the melodic sequencer as a drum sequencer with it BUT, you need to instal a custom firmware on the volca sample (look for volca sample pajen firmware)
This custom firmware give you the ability to trigger each part in a chromatic way on MIDI channel 11 (also add some CC for individual part and much more)
