Using a thunderbolt connection or USB hub possible?
« on: May 15, 2021, 05:25:38 pm »
Would appreciate any advice. I have an Asus zen book with 2 thunderbolt connections and 1 USB. I want to run my Keylab and my SSL 2+ at the same time but they both require a standard USB connection.

I thought about a hub, but have read that the keylab will not work via that.

Are there other cables that will allow me to use the keylab through the thunderbolt ports or anyone successfully managed a usb hub setup?

I used to run my 49 Mk2 through an unpowered USB hub, no issues at all.

In fact at one point I had it connected to my Samsung Thunderbolt Display (which was connected via Thunderbolt to my laptop), again no issue. The display acted like a powered USB hub.

I now use a desktop with around 12 USB ports & 2 T/B so no need for hubs anymore, but my experience shows it can be done.

Thanks very much for getting back to me about this! Means I can order a hub without worrying. Really appreciate the answer. 👍🏻
