[SOLVED] connect to ios device
« on: May 12, 2020, 05:22:27 am »
When I try to sync through a usb camera connection to either my iphone or ipad, it pops up: "Keystep Pro: This accessory requires too much power"  I have a newer iphone 8 but an older ipad.. does it on both anyway.

Is anyone else having this same issue?  It is not the app I am running, as that works with other keyboards.

As far as I understand it, this is more an issue with the iPad than Keystep. The only way I know of that fixes this issue is to try to connect your keystep to a powered usb hub then connect that to the ipad.

You are correct,  both the ipad and iphone now work.

This also happens on HS when you are trying to plug in an iOS device running the iOS 12 beta. The only way I have found to get around this problem is to install the beta of XCode, which includes the necessary components.
