How about a "random" button

which you can keep pressing until you are happy with the sound.
pretty much randomize anything in a list or anything  but what is on the list.

Then save preset :)

Have you tried the Generate function in the Preset menu? It's pretty cool the way it works. If I recall correctly, it chooses an existing patch for the B part, morphs in between the two, then saves the resulting mutation as part A... rinse and repeat recursively. You usually get much more musical results than a pure randomizer since it uses settings from actual patches.

I think the OP is asking for an "intelligent" random which only randomizes parameters on a list.  I don't see how creating/managing this list would be possible on the front panel but could likely be implemented in PolyBrute Connect  ;)
