Split function with external controller (keystep pro)
« on: January 20, 2023, 02:47:51 pm »
Hi!
I sequence my Polybrute with my Keystep pro, and would like to split the PB to have a bass for example in track 1 and an other sound to track 2.
Any idea?
Thanks you!

Welcome to the forum!  :)

* Use the Split mode. Make sure the sequencer is not enabled unless you want that.
* The lower zone plays sound A. The upper zone can morph between A and B, so you may want to set Morph all the way to B.
* In Settings/MIDI/Channels you can set the lower part channel separately from the main (and upper) channel.

You can read more about using the Split mode in the manual chapter "5.4.2. Timbrality".

You're welcome :)

An additional tip: when playing split patches from external MIDI controllers, you get the full key range for both sounds when upper and lower are set to different channels.
