The ability to import non-standard scales/tunings is available for example on the modern Sequential synths. Getting outside of the traditional Western 12 TET tuning opens up entirely new dimensions of composition.  To put it simply: the Polybrute cries out for this feature.

Yeah... this is the synth that makes me want to try some other scales, exactly because its off the scale sonic nature just begs for some xenharmonic adventures :D

Until we get alternative scales, we can make N Notes Equal Temperament scales using the mod matrix Key/Seq to Global Pitch. I've posted instructions and example patches here:
