Arpegiator bug
« on: February 07, 2021, 02:39:55 pm »
I am using the KSP for cv control with modular.
Latest bug: when in ARP mode, as soon as i change the play order to up (from any other mode), the notes shift a few semitones down and the playback stops following the keys pushed. Problem persists even after restarting, as soon as i change the playback to up.

Any fix?

it's been a trip from bug to bug this KSP >:(.

What version of the OS do you have installed?  There is a bug in 1.3.2 and earlier where transpose gets corrupted if you have it set in arpeggio mode and then switch back to sequence mode without disabling it first.  The issue persists in saved patterns so will re-appear sporadically depending on your usage.  What you describe sounds suspiciously similar to fallout from that bug.

If you haven't already definitely open a ticket with support and consider posting a video of the issue (if it is easily reproducible) to youtube.  The more documentation of these issues the easier they will be to find and fix and it also puts some pressure on Arturia to deal with them.

Cheers

UPDATE:

Arturia support advised me to Hard reset the keyboard and it worked. ARP is behaving normally.

Do you mean performing a factory reset?

The instructions were as follows:
“ The Hard reset procedure is available since firmware 1.3.2, make sure that you have this version or any higher ones to be able to perform the procedure.

/!\ Before hard resetting your Keystep Pro, to avoid any projects or configuration loss, make sure to backup your projects within the Midi Control Center.

Once done proceed as follows :

Power up the keystep pro while holding both octave + and - buttons
Click the project encoder to confirm
The Reset process would then be launched and a completion message will be displayed once the device is defaulted.”
Hope it helps

Does the issue come back if you restore that project?

Another weird (bug) behavior of the ARP.

check video:
https://youtu.be/2go5zkBHu2Y

- Arp playing by itself without hold button on.
- Arp not following keys.
- Keys triggering on push and on release.

waiting for support to get back to me.
