Bug: scale quantize on transposed seq via USB
« on: February 07, 2021, 09:30:57 am »
Problem:
scale quantize on transposed seq via USB is not respected.
By transposing sequences, out of scale notes are played on USB midi out.

Steps to reproduce:
Start from init patch
Enable scale (major / root C) in utility/preset.
Create a sequence. E.g. play C major chord (CEG) on some steps.
Play transposed sequence by pressing A key.

Current behavior:
A major chord (A C# E) is played via USB MIDI out.
The MF internal sound is played with A minor chord (ACE) as expected.

Expected behavior:
A minor chord (A C E) is played via USB MIDI out.
The MF internal sound is played with A minor chord (ACE)

The behavior is inconsistent and does not allow to stack internal sound with external source.
As scale quantize is an incredible useful feature it should be possible to use this to play external sources, too.
