ADSR LED flashes even when all sliders are turned down
« on: December 21, 2020, 02:04:04 am »
Dear all,
I have a new Minibrute 2. I'm not sure if this only occurred after I installed the new firmware tonight: Whenever I hit a key, the ADSR LED lights up briefly, even when all the sliders of the ADSR are turned all the way down. If I then turn the cutoff knob counterclockwise, I hear a slight crack when I hit the key. Only on a positon turning the knob clockwise at about 11 o'clock the crackling is drowned out by the sound. Is this normal?

Thank you and best regards
Erwin

P.S.: I would be really happy if someone could just check on your own device and tell me if the behavior of my Minibrute is normal: Does the ADSR LED flash if you play a note, even if all the ADSR sliders are completeley turned down? I would be very grateful for this.

All the best
Erwin

The crackling could be any number of things.
Use the init patch described here:

Make sure to put the AD Envelope Decay up somewhat.
If it still crackles, could be something wrong with your unit.

Thank you so much for your reply psienide! I will try to dive a deeper into the physics of the device.
