Beatstep as a DrumComputer with Ableton
« on: December 07, 2020, 04:08:43 pm »
My setup is this:

Pad09 Kick
Pad10 Snare
Pad11 Hihat
...etc.

the two knops "above" the Kick Pad (Knobs 1&9) are assigned to Sample Selection and Pitch in Ableton.
the two knops "above" the Snare Pad (Knobs 2&10) are assigned to Sample Selection and Pitch in Ableton.
...etc.

What I would like to have but just cant get to work is:

I hit the Kick Drum Pad no 9 - then ALL the Knobs 1-16 are assigned to BassDrum Related parameters in Ableton.
I hit the Snare Drum Pad no 10 - then ALL the Knobs 1-16 are assigned to SnareDrum Related parameters in Ableton.
etc.

Can this somehow be achieved in Ableton 9 ?

Thank you!

If you have no love of analog style step sequencers then the two monophonic step sequencers will seem like a waste, but personally I think this has been one of the best ways to get some great bass and odd lead lines going, and I've been waiting for someone to bring it back correctly. Velocity, gate and pitch on 16 knobs, up to 64 steps etc.
