How to use Analog Lab with Cubase / comment utiliser Analog Lab dans Cubase

Hi, everybody,

I recently bought a Keylab Essential with Analog Lab. There's no problem when using Analog Lab as a standalone software, but I can't (or dont know how) to use it as a plugin in Cubase LE.
I placed the Analog Lab dll in the Cubase VST plugin folder (where I have a lot of others VST plugin), but no Analog Lab instrument apprears when using Cubase LE ...
Has anybody solved this issue ?

j'ai acquis récemment un Keylab Essential avec Analog Lab 4. Je n'ai aucun problème lorsque j'utilise  Analog Lab en stand alone, par contre impossible de l'utiliser en tant que plugin dans Cubase LE. J'ai bien placé le plugin de Analog Lab (fichier .dll) dans le répertoire de mes plugin VST de Cubase, mais sans résultat. Cubase le voit dans la liste des plugin, mais c'est tout, impossible de lancer un instrument Analog Lab.
Quelqu'un a-t-il déjà rencontré (et résolu) ce problème ?

Hi and welcome to Arturia forums.

When you say "placed", then do you mean "installed"? I suggest you install the plugins into the correct folders. That will also make it easier, when you update.

If you don't mean "installed", then which plugin have you placed where? Perhaps it's the wrong one.
Are you sure, that the other plugins in the folder being read by Cubase, and it's not other versions you see in Cubase?

But anyway - then i suggest you install the plugins to the correct folders, so you don't have to move/ place anything after that, if that's what you have done. It's not recommended to move things from the install path, no matter which software you use.

Analog Lab should show up in a DAW, if the DAW can read third party plugins, and things a installed correct, and the  DAW is set to read the correct paths.

thanks for replying.  Here are my answers :

I say "placed" because I pasted the .ddl file by "copy / paste".    How can I "install" a .dll file ?

What do you mean by "the correct folder" ?  I use Cubase, and the VST plugin are all in the same folder (the Cubase VST plugin folder) ; it is the correct one for all my other VST plugins (I have a lot). And I'm sure Cubase use the VST plugins in this folder because it is the recommended folder, and I can manage in Cubase where to find the plugins (in this folder, of course).

When you ask " which plugin have you placed where? Perhaps it's the wrong one" -> I don't understand. I just bought my Keylab Essential a few weeks ago, and the .ddl file VST plugin came with ; I suppose it is the right one. What do you mean by "the wrong one" ?

Hi,

There are VST2 and VST3 plugins, and others ... depending on your DAW and OS.

Yes i think Arturia by default install into Steinberg paths. But if you have installed on and use this path, like you say you do, then you should not need to place (copy/ paste) anything. So why did you copy/ paste? Was'nt the plugins allready in the folder?
The install paths is set in Arturia installers. In ASC you can set install paths in the Preferences. I suggest you check the paths.
I can't guess things that can be set by individual users. I have to ask.
