Minilab MK2 switching parameters when changing octaves
« on: November 23, 2020, 07:30:08 pm »
Hello there fellow producers of quality music,
I am facing a problem with my new Minilab Mk2, where I can't play in the lower octaves. Im using Ableton as my DAW. I can't play C, C#,D and D# in the normal octave and the lower octaves are not possible neither. When I try to play something in the lower octaves, my DAW is creating recordings, switching to other recording spots and so on. I already installed the latest software update on my Minilab.
I hope you can help me, because this problem is driving me nuts.
Greetings,

LilSmeag

I assume you haven't yet explored your controller too much. When in Ableton, if you select Bank 8 on the controller, the mappings switch to Live mode (search for Minilab Mk2 Live mode). The problems you describe fit that functionality, so that should be it. If you want normal pads that trigger sounds and knobs that can be assigned to control values, just make sure to have Banks 2-7 selected, any one of them will do.
