Glide only when playing Legato ?
« on: November 15, 2020, 08:30:49 pm »
Im trying to use the Glide feature, but only when i play Legato.
(im playing in monophonic)

To be more clearer:
- When the mini V3 isn't playing any note at the same moment i'm about to play any other note -> I Don't want Glide.
- When the note i'm about to play steps over the previous note -> I need Glide.

Is it possible from within the Mini V3 ?
if not, is there a way from ableton i could handle that ?

Hi and welcome to Arturia forums.

You have 3 settings for legato in Mini V3 using the Legato Switch just above the wheels. That also have an impact on how Glide work. It has a left, a center and a right position.
If the used playmode allow it, then:
1. To the left Glide and Envelopes is allways triggered.
2. In the center Glide is allways triggered but Envelopes is'nt when playing legato.
3. To the right Glide is only triggered when playing legato and envelopes is'nt triggered when playing legato.

A thing that's missing is a position where Glide only is triggered when playing legato while the envelopes is triggered allways.
You can use Glide on/ off to do that. Or perhaps come around it controlling Filter parameters.

I have years ago suggested a envelope trigger setting and a Glide trigger setting like in Modular V. The both can be controlled individually. But you have more options in Mini V than you have in the original Minimoog.
