5th midi channel

I have 5 synthesizers, four at the same time I can control via key-step pro
Is it possible to somehow switch to midi channel 5 and play on it separately when the sequencers are running on the sequencers?

To my knowledge no as the selected track decides what MIDI channel both the keyboard and sequence send on.  You can change the channel but the sequence will follow suit.

The KSP is not intended to be a general purpose controller really.

Unfortunately not. The original Keystep has this feature called  Live Play, but the Keystep Pro supports no such thing.
