GAHH! Not available in the U.S. yet?
« on: July 16, 2020, 06:16:56 am »
So I got my stimulus check money and went to Sweetwater today to order a KeyStep Pro.
LO!
Their page said "Pre-Order Now" ... Meanwhile, Musician's Friend and Guitar center were saying "In stock and ready to ship"
Called Sweetwater. They said they "should" be getting it in by August -- but I'm sure there's TONS of backorders.
Called Musician's Friend to confirm availability. I was told they had ONE ......... in Hawaii ..... and it's not available for shipping. LOL
D'oh
Been really looking forward to getting this. Was thinking, even, that I'd have it next week after ordering it today.
Guess not. Even if I ordered today, I prolly wouldn't get it til Sept. at the soonest, considering back orders.
I'm guessing that the covids interfered with shipping units over here. <sigh> oh well
 :'(

August is only two weeks away!  I preordered my BSP all those years ago, can't remember how long it took to arrive.  But I was away for work when it did and the store almost sold it on me because I couldn't collect it for a week!

FWIW, the stores here all seem to be getting monthly shipments still.  Their stock all seems to be at 0 for popular stuff, then all on the same day they top up again.
Currently running https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1311723 / www.modulargrid.net, sequencing with KSP and recording with a Zoom (no DAW involved, for better or worse ;) )

Ordered mine from Sweetwater on 4/16 and it shipped on 5/15.
I must have checked their website a thousand times during that month.
Now I'm here twenty times a day looking for news on firmware updates.
Anyway, you might as well get in the queue! Good luck!

Weird.  Out here in Canada last week, I just walked into my local store and they were on the shelf.

I hate the feeling of being anxious for something though, so I hope you get it soon.

Just ordered mine today from Guitar Center. They showed it as "in stock and ready to ship".

Now that it's mid-August -- when Sweetwater said I'd probably et it ... well
I called Sweetwater for an update.
They said that Arturia is telling them at least another 3 weeks until they receive a shipment.
GAHHH!!!
I'm sure covid is interfering with international shipments. Sure. But still ......
GAAHHHHH!!!
Hurry it up there Arturia. C'mon. Please?  :-\
