Metallic sounds from keyboard
« on: August 26, 2020, 11:31:19 am »
I have owned my MatrixBrute for about two weeks now, I purchased it used. It was working fine then today right after I performed the Firmware update I started hearing a metallic sound, at first I thought it was the oscillators, then I turned off the synth and unplugged it, the sound is still there and is coming from the keys. It sounds like metallic parts rubbing against one another, or the key springs, mostly the white keys and almost all of them.

This is really weird, I have owned many synths through the years and I've never experienced anything like this. I play on the keyboard rather gently and am very careful with my gear.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? What could it be?

Thank you.

I would like to add that I am not bashing this instrument, I'll just have to deal with the metallic noise, it does not affect play-ability or output.  The MatrixBrute is truly an incredible synth, and the new firmware adds some really cool features, such as drawing your own LFO waves and the addition of slots to the modulation matrix, as if it didn't have enough already  ;D
