AudioFuse stability issue
« on: June 14, 2020, 10:17:52 am »
Upon resuming my computer from hibernation mode, the (always on, power cable connected) AudioFuse device didn't show up in my computer anymore. The USB hub was still working, but the audio device was gone. I tried unplugging and replugging the USB, but no change. I tried plugging it into another computer (leaving the power on), but no change.
So then I finally disconnected the device, and pulled the power plug. When I restarted and reconnected it, it showed up as a audio device again. But now, sound was only coming out of the left output channel. There was some signal in the left channel, but only really faint. Tried switching to the B outputs, same thing. In the headphones, the stereo was working fully.

In the end, I did another full reboot of the device, and the sound came back in the left output channel. But I lost some confidence in the stability of the device. I've had it less than a year (bought it new). I suspect the issue is related to the overheating situation.
