Playing all 6 Samples at once
« on: June 11, 2020, 12:44:22 am »
I can't figure out how to map all six samples (A-F) across the keyboard so each MIDI note plays all samples at once. Ideas? - WS

No wonder you can't figure it out, as one sample engine only can play one of the loaded samples at a time when playing a single key.

Just in case: You can read about the sample layout modes in the newest Pigments manual section "5.4.4. Editing your Samples".

So it'll only respond multitimbrally by hitting six keys across the six mapping zones? Thanks for the pointer to the manual: I read it before posting and thought maybe I missed something. - WS

You can't layer multiple samples in a single Pigments sample module to respond to the same midi key and velocity.
Keep in mind that controllers an DAW's can have utilities that make it possible to map notes, so you can play several notes just by activating a single key.
