Launching Loops in Ableton
« on: May 31, 2020, 05:53:23 pm »
Hi,

Firstly, apologies, I'm new to both Arturia and Ableton.

So my issue / question is, when I was looking in to purchasing a midi, one of the features that appealed to me was that you can launch loops using the pads of the Minilab Mk2, lights turn green to show playing, red to record etc.

How do you do this? I've been playing around on Ableton now for a few weeks, made some basic drum and piano loops, I'd like to launch them using the pads but I can't seem to work out how this is done. One video I watched of a guy reviewing the minicab pretty much did it straight out of the box.

Is there something that I am missing / not doing / doing wrong. I have posted in Reddit and all sorts of forums, everybody keeps saying to do a reset or it needs mapping manually or simply SHIFT + Pad 8 which i know isn't the solution, that much i do know.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Pete
