Midi Out 1 & Midi Out 2 with respective Channels 1-16

Hello ,

I assumed the reason for having two midi outs would be to have 16 Midi Channel per out
( like A 1- A16 for Midi Out 1 and B1 -B16 for Midi Out 2 )

I was unpleasantly surprised that it's only 16 channels for both midi Outs .

Otherwise I just don't undestand what might be the reason to have 2 Outs ?

It would be nice if this could be fixed in a future Firmware.

My hardware synths would be really happy (and I too )

This was the same on the Novation SLMKII and III. I too was miffed and surprised.  The second out is nothing more than a thru really, totally pointless.

One instance would be having multiple Korg Volcas, as they only have a single MIDI In. No Out or Thru.
A situation I hope to find myself in in the future.

This would be great.
Not only could the KSP control the two DIN sockets' 16 channels each, but it could also access the USB port too giving us 48 potential channels to choose from.
This is something I use on the Pyramid all the time.
The option to do it on the KSP would be awesome.

it is great having 2 outputs that are duplicates, as for some people, it can save needing "Midi Thru-boxes" aka midi splitters, to drive some equipment that lacks pass thru features.

But.

I would also really love to have the midi outputs selectable for sequences.

especially when working with Multi-Timbral synths (eg. Virus TI, Korg Micro-X etc)

I love having these in a multi-timbral mode, starting from Channel 1, for when I'm sequencing from my computer.
But I'd love to send a keystep sequence to output 2, channel 1, so when I'm having a hardware jam I can have that extra level of convenient control.
Without needing to reassign all the midi channels for some synths when I'm in "Computer sequencing" or "Keystep pro sequencing" mode.

Seeing the extra options to treat out2 as a thru in the latest update is very welcome!

At least that's how my Novation SL61 mk1 does it..
each control can be set to M1, M2 (for the physical ports) and U1, U2, U3 (for the USB ports) as well as a few options for combining multiple ports

This.  I too came from a Novation SL49MKII from 2009 and severely missed this when, I went to the Key Step Pro.

The Novation also allowed me to set velocity values in the settings, that the keyboard would always adhere to and that was also missing on The KeyStep Pro.  I am still not over that fact either, especially since my Novation was 10 years older, than this newer controller.

I have put these requests in with Arturia, but nothing's come of them yet.

It has multiple hardware DIN MIDI Outs because it can control up to four separate MIDI instruments.  I for one never expected each MIDI Out to act as its own separate MIDI "channel set."
HECK!! I would like to see the KSP have four hardware MIDI Out sockets. One for each part. As it is, I've had to buy a 1 to 4 MIDI splitter box.
