Beatstep midi out
« on: April 28, 2020, 01:35:35 pm »
Hi people,
hope you´re all doing fine.
I have a question to ask: are there any settings i need to manage from the midi control center in order to make the beatstep sends midi signal without a laptop?
Im trying to use it connected to a behringer crave via midi cable, same midi channel of course, but im not able to get any sound from the crave.
I also tried with couple of volcas but i dont get any sound from the either.
I can use the beatstep normally when connected thru ableton live, but so far im not able to use it dawless...
any hint is appreciated!

Hi. Same problem. And you're the 3rd post I've read so far with this issue. I assumed you have set both devices to the same midi channel, if not - without using the cc, on the BSP DRUM, SEQUENCER 1 or 2 then, hold SHIFT + CHAN + step which should be pink in colour when selected. I don't know about the Crave but on the Volcas it is holding down MEMORY while turning on the unit then touch the part key corresponding to the desired channel. Save by holding the PLAY + RECORD. Let me know how you solved the problem please. B.
