Option to save 'micro design presets'
« on: April 17, 2020, 04:21:26 pm »
I would love to see an option to save “micro design presets” that can be added to a current normal preset in a “non all destructive way”.  Eg. imaging you found a way to give the attack of a sound more punch (eg. set VCA attach to 400ms, then use a second env to modulate VCA’s attack towards 0ms ). You then save this preset, and later in another preset you add it, only affecting target parameters. One way to achieve this is that user mark relevant parameters, and then hit save as. Obviously there most be a new directory to store the presets in.

What would really be the top, would be if you also add “factory micro design presets”  made by Arturias expert sound designer team. I think this concept will fit nicely with your concept about sounddesigner tips (yellow marked parameters). It would be a valuable learning source targeted both new and experienced sound designers. From a fast paced producers perspective this also add value to increase speed of work flow.

In general, this would really be a nice time saver and learning asset. It can also be a better alternative to the "create random preset" that some synth plugins has. You could start out simply describing the sound you want by selecting design presets(from large bank made by Arturia).
