MIDI note from Ableton Live to MicroFreak
« on: February 13, 2020, 04:59:09 pm »
Hi!

I'm considering whether to buy a MicroFreak and I'm finding it very likly to happen  ;D

I have one question that may be very stupid I think, but it can tip the scale.

Can I send MIDI notes from Ableton Live to the MicroFreak? that is, can I write MIDI clips in Ableton just as I do with all VSTs and make Ableton sequencer play the notes in Microfreak for me? I find it very useful in order to have pattern of more than 64 notes, like the internal microfreak sequencer has, and to change the pattern of microfreak at once with all other digital instruments I have in my DAW.

Last question: do you recommend to purchase it instead of the microbrute?

Thanks a lot

Francesco

Pretty sure the MF does respond to incoming midi data. Should you buy it instead of the MB, no one can answer that except you. Look at the features list of both and decide.
