simple feature suggestion: waterfall keys
« on: February 04, 2020, 09:42:00 pm »
I'm surprised a search doesn't bring up anyone else talking about this. I am enjoying my MKii, but I would love it with waterfall keys, dropping straight in front and along the sides. I use it as a second manual for my Electro, and it would be great to be able to do the same glissandos, etc.

+1 I agree with the waterfall key thing, even with the hammer action 88. Reason, what ever your keyboard your gonig to want to take swipes of the keyboard. The lip of the piano keys seems to provide no useful function for a pianist and cuts into the vhand if you swipe. No brainer really.

(Waterfall keys = soft edge keys)

I just got the Keylab 49 MkII and I'm thinking of returning it. I didn't know the keys were so sharp and not waterfall style. I got this from American Musical and they don't show it from the player's perspective. I saw on the B&H website a pic of the 88 key version, which looks like it has key fronts. Do they have the lip or are they waterfall? Non-waterfall is a drag for organ playing.

So, do any Keylab controllers have better keys than the 49key version?

Thanks.
