MIDI Control Center not saving MIDI Maps?
« on: January 09, 2020, 08:03:25 pm »
Sorry if someone's posted this already, but I gave up after hitting the 10th search results page.

Anyway, I'm having a strange problem with Keylab 49 and MIDI Control Center—whenever I load up a custom MIDI map, the data from other maps seems to get mixed into it, and some knob assignments are blank.

Here's an example: I've set up 3 custom MIDI maps:

  • The DAW map controls REAPER, which so far works fine.
  • "User 1" controls a Korg Volca Bass
  • "User 2" controls an Elektron Digitakt
I've set all up all the CC knob values, named and saved them, and loaded them to the device. Hooked things up and everything works as it should. Cool.

But say I switch from "User 2" back to "User 1"—a bunch of knob parameters end up "left over" from "User 2," or are completely blank.

The way it actis, it seems like when I hit "Save" on one template it also saves some of that info (but not all) to the other one, or it isn't loading the new map completely, or something.

I seem to be all up to date on the firmware, so I'm at a loss here. Any one have any ideas?

Thanks!
-KD
