Title: impossible to update
Post by: nicoco59 on September 25, 2019, 12:22:50 am
Hi everyone!

I just bought my microfreak today.

As i wanted to control it with my digitakt, i've plugged them together
but i wasn't able to send any program change from the digi to the Microfreak.

It appears to be due to the firmware 1.05 already installed not taking care of Program Change.

So i decided to update to the latest firmware. Unfortunately when i try to update with the latest firmware,
or midi control center shut down, or i receive an error message saying " error during the burning process, file corrupted/blabla"
or saying "problem with updater ..." .

Anyway... Any help? did someone experienced the same problem?

Thanks

ok guys, after few times reinstalling midi control center, verifying everything, etc,
It finally works after rebooting my computer a last time, then the midi control center decided to find the update
file by himself on the web and finally get the process correctly done.
And now program change works!!!!!!

Happy!

Lucky I've already burned two (2!) of them by following the update procedure provided by Arturia! Who says better?

As far as I'm concerned, this machine is well on its way to finishing in the "Bullshit, that doesn't keep his promises" category…

Hey guys.

This article may help !!!

https://www.arturia.com/faq/installation/firmware-reset-and-detection-of-a-midi-device (https://www.arturia.com/faq/installation/firmware-reset-and-detection-of-a-midi-device)

If not, please try on a Windows computer, as the firmware update on Mac can sometimes tricky.

Best

So I’m supposed to spend two or three times - or more - the price of the very buggy synth on a Windows PC just to get Arturia’s own software to reliably work with it?

Not good.
