Title: Broken Filter?
Post by: oldmancolin on August 26, 2019, 03:43:00 pm
Howdy,

I just bought a microbrute last weekend and I think it has a problem.

Whenever I raise the resonance up past ~50%, the output just changes to clicks and thumps - even when no keys are being pressed.

At first i just though I had dialed in a bad patch, since I'm so new to this. But even with just the sawtooth wave set to one quarter output, the filter set to LP, cutoff all the way up, and brute factor at zero, if I raise the resonance past 50% the sound just cuts out and changes to clicks an thumps.

I've found numerous youtube how-to's and patches that don't work on my microbrute.

Has anyone ever heard of a fault like this?

Any ideas on how to fix it?

I've upgraded and downgraded the firmware to no avail.

Thanks for any help
