Title: firmware update failed and bricked my device

The hardware update froze 1%. I tried again and it went to 5% and froze. I disconnected and tried installing on a computer with fewer midi dependencies. Now it won't recognize the device at all.  Windows says "USB Device Not Recognized". I hit the octave buttons, plugged in the USB,  and unplugged my MIDI in. It says "Device not connected" and "could not get firmware revision" and "update failed". I am so angry I should have left well enough alone.

Of course I try it on a Mac and it just works. Ugh. Please disregard.

I'm having the same problem. I don't have access to a Mac though, so I'd really lika a solution to this.

I saw many topics related to failed firmware update and bricked devices and now I am among those suffering from the issue. Has anyone figured a solution to the problem described?
