Title: Arpeggiator not working over MIDI
Post by: Pips on July 18, 2019, 01:02:20 am
I'm using the Microfreak as a controller for some instruments (Modal CraftSynth, TB3, etc) and it works fine playing notes. As soon as I press the ARP button, it does nothing. In the Utility menu I do have play ARP through MIDI turned on. I tried off just to see and same thing.

Is this a bug?

I have exactly the same problem.  I have sent a message to support, but no news yet.

Hello Alain
•   Have you made sure that your MicroFreak Sync mode is correctly setup?

From Utilities > Sync: The Int, USB, MIDI, Clock and Auto parameters are defining the tempo source of the MicroFreak.

When the MicroFreak Sync mode is not set to Internal, the unit will be slaved to an external clock (USB, MIDI or Clock). In this case, its Sequencer and Arp will wait for an external clock and start/stop to play.

To be its own Master, the MicroFreak sync mode needs to be set to Internal.
•   Then, please make sure your are using the 1.1 Factory preset bank, available on the Midi Control Center
Some of the preset are bugged on the Factory 1.0 version, which may cause the issue you are facing.

Keep me informed if it fixes your issue.
