Title: Anyone else using git to track their patches
Post by: jgillmanjr on July 15, 2019, 02:29:51 pm
Greetings!

Relatively new user of Pigments (and Arturia products in general - got my KeyLab Essential 61 back at the end of May) and I've been loving it.

Given what I do for work, I use git quite a bit, so I was doing some experimentation and it looks like Pigments patches (and I wouldn't be surprised if synths in the V collection are similar) are more or less text based - and thus ripe for tracking with git.

The process seems to work, though I'm presuming if non-standard wavetables are used, that might throw a wrench in things (which makes sense).

Anyway, I was curious if anyone else was doing this.

Here's a link (I've also created a README file which doesn't seem to affect Pigments) to my repo: https://github.com/jgillmanjr/jgillmans-pigment-patches
