Title: Arturia V Collection 6 plugins not working well after Mac OS and Ableton update
Post by: sergioflorezsound on July 11, 2019, 05:25:40 am
I've just bought a Push 2, so I installed the Ableton Live Suite 10 license that comes with the Push, to do so, I had to upgrade my Mac OS X from Yosemite to High Sierra. After these two upgrades, I open, for example, the CS80 plugin or the ARP2600, and after several minutes of playing a little with presets and tweaking knobs, the plugin crashes and Ableton quits!

I'm working with a MacBook Pro 2012, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD (have Ableton and OS X installed here), 512GB HDD, Intel Core i5, which worked perfectly with Ableton 9.7 and Mac OS Yosemite.

Help please!

+1

I'm running Live 10.1 on Mac OSX 10.13 (High Sierra) and I've pretty much stopped using my Arturia V Collection 6 plugins in the recent past because every single one either causes a crash or just plain doesn't work.  I've rescanned all plugins, and plugin paths are all correct.  Everything is updated.  Any solutions yet?

...are you using the vst3 or vst2 versions of the plugins?...i quit using vst3 for various reasons, one being the crashes...vst2 versions do work stable here though....

My son uses one of my V6 licences on exact same same setup as OP, even same computer, other than he uses using Logic Pro not Live. No issues with randomly crashing. I don't know whether Live uses the Audio Unit plugin or the VST3 plugin, but either way it might be worth hounding Ableton as well if you haven't already.
