Title: Preset/sequence
Post by: Gabpipes on June 17, 2019, 12:28:35 pm
Hi!
After the update of my new MicroFreak many preset/sequence doesn't work as before, is it a bug?
The presets are:
The numbers : 14/Michtack ,
                        25/808 St8 M8 ,
                        26/L9n1 ,
                        39/Nostromo (the sequence B) ,
                        61/Afterblush ,
                        83/Traditon ,
                        84/Gaming ,
                        95/Guisky (the sequence A) .
How to solve this problem?
I wait for an answer,
thank you,
bye,
gab

I hve just received my second Microfreak today, and after updating the unit this afternoon I agree that some of the patches you have listed appear to have been compromised during the update, for me the following from your list are also not working on my unit how they did before the update:

14 / 25 / 26 / 39 [seq B] / 61 / 95

The following from your list seem to be ok on my unit after the update:

83 / 84

Well, no signals from Arturia...but I found this in gearslutz.com :

As to the broken presets: the ones on Arturia’s website, both Factory 1.0 and Factory 1.1, were made prior to the latest OS update (asked Arturia about this).

If you look at Michitack (sp?) for example, the fourth modulation track has only one entry, that turns the Filter Amt down to -100.

Once the sequence turns it down to that, the sound is of course muted.

I believe that the new OS introduced some sort of spurious data into the sequences, so there are a few - the ones mentioned above - that have a similar problem.

Turn memory protection off, find the offending modulation step in the sequence (step through it manually), and either delete that step or —more likely— just delete that modulation track (hold Oct/Mod down and press Hold to delete a modulation track), done.

Minor glitch; I’m hoping Arturia updates the presets sometime in the future.
