Title: Analog Lab 32bit or 64bit
Post by: Graham Cockram on June 12, 2019, 12:53:32 am
Newbie question.
I already have a Minilab mk2 and Analog Lab Lite running on Windows 10 64bit with no problems.
I also just bought a second hand Minilab mk1 and all the registration and software licenses transferred without a problem. The software download did a separate installation of Analog Lab (full version) but the download from the website didn’t give me any option of 32bit or 64bit and appears to have done a default installation of 32bit. Does this matter? I understand that Windows 10 64bit can run 32bit but surely 64bit would be better? Can this be changed to a 64bit installation and if so how is that done? Sorry if this is not posted in the correct place but maybe admin can move it to where it should be. Thanks in advance.
Regards.
Graham.

Analog Lab 4 as far as i can see is 64 bit only for both the standalone version and the plug-ins. At least the standalone version is by default installed in Windows 64 bit application folder.

Earlier versions of Analog Lab standalone versions was 32 bit and both 32 and 64 bit as plug-ins. All versions should be installed, unless you somehow do something to prevent this.

The main difference between using 32 and 64 bit applications is in this case how much RAM they can use. Beside that the functionality is the same.
