Title: One shot sequencer?
Post by: gravitylens on May 25, 2019, 08:25:17 am
Hi,

I’m trying to trigger a sequencer pattern from a midi controller, but only want it to play once rather than loop. Any idea how to do this?

Thanks in advance,
GL

Off the top of my head here is one way:
You could engage hold note and assign the auxiliary envelope to master volume. Set the length of your sequence with the envelope.
That is a kind of oblique approach though.

Another way would be to use the arpeggio sequencer and modify the length of your trigger/ method of triggering.

I'm sure there are other ways I'm not thinking of at the moment. Someone else hopfully will chime in with a better solution.
 Cheers!

I would love a real one shot trigger of the sequencer, but for now, I just set the max sequence length to 64 steps, and have the sequence be shorter- it ends with a bunch of empty notes. That way you just have to trigger the sequence by hand, and let up the note before it loops around.
