Title: Arp lags when trying to switch patterns on the fly?
Post by: Michaeljones on December 15, 2018, 10:00:23 am
Maybe I'm asking too much of my brute but basically what I'm trying to do is SMOOTHLY switch the pattern while the sequencer is going. I'm trying to use it for a live performance type thing but it's really hard ovo.fyi/lorem-ipsum (https://ovo.fyi/lorem-ipsum/) ovo.fyi/temp-mail (https://ovo.fyi/temp-mail/) ovo.fyi/10-minute-mail (https://ovo.fyi/10-minute-mail/) to make the switch between two patterns exact and even when I'm able to it sometimes lags. I'm probably not doing a very good job of describing my situation but here's a sample of as close as I've gotten to making the switch smooth (this is a pretty rare). When it DOESN'T go smooth like this the sequencer lags on one note during the switch between patterns.

Basically I'm switching keys and also changing patterns with the pattern knob at the same time (like between pattern 5 and 6 or whatever, always making sure the patterns are next to each other on the knob). I'm wondering if there's a way to make the transition between patterns smoother and allow some margin of error for doing this sort of thing live.
