Title: New member with keylab 61 MKII
Post by: Drawbar Dave on September 09, 2018, 02:01:34 pm
Hello

I got my KLM2 this week and love it. It makes playing plug ins much more enjoyable. The only thing I can’t do with it (and it’s not Arturia’s fault) is to get the transport controls working with Protools 12. Has anyone been successful with this? I know it affects other midi controllers too. Ticking a box in peripherals doesn’t work.

Best
Dave

Doesn't seem like they are. Pity.

Hi,

Did you try to setup the KLMK2 as an HUI device as explained here https://www.arturia.com/faq/keylabmkii/keylab-mkii-tips-tricks ?

In HUI mode it just sends lots of various midi commands every time I press a transport button

e,g, play gives

controller 15=14, 47=68, 15=14, 47=4

i.e. a protocol

Pianototeq just waits for any activity on a certain controller to initiate "play standalone"

Say I tell it to listen to channel 15, when I press play on transport it will play, then stop a second later because of the 2nd control 15 value

It also has a MMC play option, but no joy.

FYI, I can map something like Controller 22, aka Piano/Select 1 just fine in user mode, acts as nice toggle.

Just would be nice if transports were equally configurable, given that the mkii has "real" play button
