Title: How to use the pads as drum pads in Ableton without the drum rack?

Hi,

I'm pretty much new to midi controllers so please forgive me if the answer is obvious, but I would like to know if it's possible to use the pads as drum pads in Ableton without using the Drum Rack. Let's say I have percussion elements grouped together can I trigger them individual with the pads?
