Title: I want to modify the velocity of an already recorded step.
Post by: jongminsty on August 30, 2018, 11:31:09 am
Hello.

I want to change Velocity (the velocity of the already recorded Step) in DRUMBRUTE IMPACT itself.

If the firmware can be updated,

Imagine how it works : While holding down recorded step, turn the tempo wheel ("Rate / Fine" wheel).

Thank you.

Hey,

Are you referring to a  Step VS an accent ?
You can set a step to an accent step by hitting "Accent" then clicking on the step which is lit up to change it to an accent.
The contrary works, if a step is set to accent then simply hit "Step" and click on the red step to change it back to a standard step.

There are only 2 velocity levels on DrumBrute Impact : Step and Accent. The instruments are designed to work ( and only understand) with those two values. An accented step is typically louder but it also affects other synthesis parameters (a moderate amount of decay for example)

Hope this helps !

Victor

Hi,
Only 2 velocities...
-> not enough to play and to make variations of intensity in the game. Impossible to play "ghost" kick (ie velocity at 15 or 20 on scale of 127) etc. we need a velocity scale from 0 to 127!
