Title: V Collection instruments always add a folder to my downloads folder
Post by: onerob on July 12, 2018, 10:47:19 pm
Logic 10.4.1 on MacOS 10.13.5:

When loading an Arturia V Collection instrument, an empty folder is added to my downloads folder. Nothing is updated, the folder is redundant. Can this be fixed?

When loading an Arturia V Collection instrument
Do you mean "when updating"?

an empty folder is added to my downloads folder.
Do you have multiple folders or do you delete one folder and then another is created?

Nothing is updated
How do you know this? Have you checked your application versions?

How is your settings in Arturia Software Center?
What's your download folder? Is it the one you say that's being created?
How is your settings for:
1. Delete the installer after successful install
and
2. Silent install
?

I'm on Windows, but i assume the process is similar.

No, I mean adding an Arturia instrument to a track in my DAW (Logic). An empty folder named 'Arturia' is added to the default MacOS download folder. Sometimes it happens instantly, and sometimes after a few minutes.

I have the exact same issue.

Whenever I launch Ableton, an empty folder called "Arturia" is created in my "Downloads" folder.

It's really annoying

Hi everyone, sorry for the late reply but thought I'd best mention what helped me with this issue...

Seems it's linked to the Downloads Folder preferences in the Arturia Software Center settings. All I had to do was change the location to another directory and then back again to the Downloads folder <if you so wish>. That stopped it for me. Hope it works for all you other peeps looking for a solution to this irritating problem!  ;D
