Title: [FIXED]Analog Lab not working on GarageBand 10.3.0
Post by: osaebo on June 26, 2018, 07:39:45 pm
Hi there.

After the new update of GarageBand (June 21st, 2018) to version 10.3.0, I no longer can connect AnalogLab as an instrument from within GarageBand. After a restart of the computer and trying to connect to AnalogLab, GarageBand crashes. Restarting GarageBand again, and trying to connect I get the message that AnalogLab needs to be updated...

Doing the same thing in Logic Pro X works fine. AnalogLab instruments connect fine.

I am running macOS High Sierra 10.13.5, GarageBand 10.3.0, Logic Pro X 10.4.1 and AnalogLab 3.1.0.1391.

Perhaps I am missing something?

I contacted Arturia's tech support with this very issue and have been informed that there's a compatibility problem with the latest Garageband upgrade. Other plug-ins have been affected as well, apparently. I was told that there's communication between Arturia and Apple about fixing the problem. It's just a matter of waiting I'm afraid.

They advised reverting to an older version of Garageband for the time being but I understand that's not possible with Garageband 10 and up. Probably best to stick with another DAW for now.

It's a hassle because Garageband is, at least for me, a great, simple platform to use but I understand there are often problems when they upgrade it. People who have used it for longer than me would know more.

Looks like it's been fixed.

Hi all,
Garage Band 10.3.1 had been released on the 28 of June and fix this issue.

Here is the release note quote :
"Resolves an issue where third-party Audio Units and the PlatinumVerb plug-in could not be accessed."

I've been testing that on my side and it seems to work great.
