Title: How To Play 2 different Sounds on Keystep Using 1 Synth?

hi
is it possible to sequence one sound on the keystep and then play over the top with a different sound
using the same synth module?
Every time i change the keystep midi channel it also changes the sequencer sound.
any advice would be totally amazing....
