Title: Keystep keeps dropping MIDI connection

I use GarageBand and also LIVE 9 Mac OS X 10.13.3 - occasionally, and just recently Keystep does not play when I cold boot the app.  I have to unplug it and replug it in for it to work. I am using the KEYSTEP mini USB connector to USB in on the MacBookPro i7

Has anyone else had this issue?  What am I doing wrong?

I just unboxed mine and have had a few instances where MIDI notes don't send and I have to unplug power and plug it back in.
