Title: How to get BeatStep to trigger Drumbrute

I'm new to midi-controlled devices and am trying to figure out how to get my BeatStep to trigger the Drumbrute in the live setting. I am trying to turn patterns on and off during songs, and figure out how to control other parameters such as master volume output. I am interested in figuring out if I can program different patterns to different pads to switch during songs/performances, as well. I haven't been able to find any tutorials or other forums on this info.  Any advice? The simpler, the better. Thanks!
